Midsummer Scream 2018...

Another year of Horror Fun!

Thank you to Taylor for my great b-day presie of Weekend VIP Passes!
This year Pat & Mandy joined us for Sat and since Pat didn't use his Sun tix - mom got to benefit!

It was super fun going with the boy and his friend who also love horror and had never been.  We got there super early to easy peasy park and grabbed breakfast and mimosas across the street!

Our usual Auld Dubliner Brekkie
Afterwards we headed over for a day o fun!

We wandered the vendors a bit but spent a lot of time in Hall of Shadows.  They had it super decked out this year and it was way bigger!

Entry Way

Mandy and Taylor totally accidentally "twinned!"

One of the "Theme Bars" was set up like an old video store including an old skool video game!
Loooooooooooooooved the IT display

Inside the Donnie Darko Maze

They had a little Photo Op outside the Darko Maze!

Six Flags had a cool walk through set up with fantastic decor and crazy monsters on stilts!

Delusion did a VR experience that was their 1st year - I of course couldn't do it but the rest did!

While they VR'd - I hung out with The Munsters!

These were real people inside!

Really cool picture within a picture murder scene.  They moved and acted out a really cool scene.

I freakin love the cat

May have been my favorite cosplay

Taylor bought an Audrey II!

In line for the Zombie Joe show

Great Krampus cosplay!

The originals

Fun bringing the boy this year!
At one point we waited like 30 min for the Sinister Pointe themed bar, but they did have a fun photo op!

This was before we knew what we were doing - but we kept it because look at the little girl photo bomb!!!
Around 5:30, Pat and Mandy peaced out, but Taylor and I headed for dinner then the after party and events!

Dinner at CPK!  I may be tipsy...

I'm not as drunk as I seem to keep looking...
They had ping pong tables!

Before the party got rollin

We joked that we felt like chaperones because we were so tired we just sat on the side and people watched for awhile

Furries!
We didn't stay too long at the party and headed over to check out Mudd the Magnificent but unfortunately missed most of his show.  Then we stayed for trivia but slipped out a bit early.

Boring Trivia
Sunday we had mom along!  We hit the same Auld Dubliner for breakfast and repeated our early easy peasy parking/breakfast routine.

Taylor hit a bunch of panels that day so mom and I spent most the day touring the Hall of Shadows and vendor area

Day 2 Crew

The sliders were coloring with the kids and making them laugh

Always  such cool make up displays

The Knotts Monsters

Moms new friend

I love her!
The photo op was GIFS on day 2!!!  I love how happy mom is to stab Taylor...
We headed over to lunch at Islands and after a huge mix up of them forgetting my food  we rushed back over to make sure we got to the Hocus Pocus Panel in time.  They were celebrating 25 years and my mom loves the movie as do I so we def wanted to catch that one.

But mom did get a quick zombie shooting session in first!

Annie Oakley
We then settled in for the panel.  It was super cute and you could tell the crew had a real love for the movie!

Cute little group that sang I put a spell on you

My friend Kali aka Sarah Sanderson!
We then stayed for the Universal Horror Nights panel which we soooooooooooo should have skipped.  It was 2 hours long and they didn't even announce anything new!  Ugh.

Stopppp talllkking....

This year, as the previous 2 years, was a blast!  It's grown alot and it was pretty crowded - they estimated 22K through the weekend, but it was never too bad.  Sometimes lines were a little long and the vendor area was a little overwhelming but so much fun.  I never do have time to catch everything and missed the sliders, a show I wanted to catch and the kitties this year.  But the vendors were great, mom and I both spent too much money.  I really loved the Hall of Shadows this year - so much bigger and lots more space.  Great displays and maze previews - by far my favorite was the Trick or Treat Maze put on by Murder House Productions.  It was so fun enjoying it with 2 newbies on Sat then with mom on Sunday - and of course most of all my horror partner in crime - Taylor!
