A collection of random things...

I haven't been blogging as much this year it seems.  I'm not sure why, other than life is just kind of weird right now it seems.

I'm battling a lot of anxiety lately with my job, financial struggles, relationships, lack of art and just a general where am I going with my life type of crap.

I have a feeling a big step back and reassessment of my life is coming...or may as well already be starting since I'm feeling the itchings in the back of my brain.  Something is missing.  Change may be coming.  I know that some stuff is already changing.

Friendships for sure.  I'm finding myself exhausted trying to keep up the friendships when I'm the only one putting in the effort.  That is coming to an end.  I've spent my whole life being a social butterfly, and I love it I do, but as I get older I'm beginning to realize it's different now.  It's time to really start surrounding myself with people who truly love me and don't make me feel bad or bring unnecessary drama into my life.  Self Care is huge and I've been neglecting it.  I pride myself on being a good friend and being there for those I love and still plan too, but the circle is getting smaller.  And that's ok!  My tight circle knows who they are and we love each other and it's amazing.  I'm truly lucky to have so many great people in my life.  It's just an odd change I suppose and something new to me.

I saw this today too...and um....basically

Goes for mental and physical

I swear I feel I need to go on some sort of "Find Yourself and Your True Meaning" retreat or some shit and get on the right path.  It'll come.  I know it will.  This has been a tough year it seems.  And not just for me.  So many people are going through so much stuff right now and mine pales in comparison.  There's also this feeling of fatigue I think.  With our world, society, country, etc etc and fucking etc.

I look forward to figuring this out actually.  Summer will bring a slow down of sorts I think and may be a good time to really delve into finding what make sense in my life.  Right?  Guess we'll see!

In the meantime - I've had some great moments over the past few months and thought I'd throw them all in a blog so I can remember and you can check out - so here ya go!

One of my dear friends Noel turned 50!  He had a really chill fun little soiree and I got to spend a great evening with some of my favorites!

We're classy

Apparently this is fancy

One day my friend Stacy asked me to join her for a Mindfulness Meditation Nature Walk.  It was lead by this super cool dude that has a company called Naturalist for you.  You can follow him on FB or Instagram and he's always doing really cool stuff!  It was a lovely peaceful way to spend a Saturday morning!

Hi Ladybug Friend!

I learned about MugWort!  It has a lot of healing benefits

They did a little mindful thing on this bridge but the movement made my head issues pissy so I had to stand off to the side - but there's our little group!

Pat and I went on a really pretty hike one evening.  It was a portion behind his house I hadn't seen yet.  No geocaching so figured it could live here rather than in one of my caching blogs.  These rains have made for such gorgeous hiking!

Little stars

I'm in love with this flower. It looks like you could drink out of it!

So pretty!

One night Pat's mom whipped out our 6th grade "Yearbook".  I said our...because remember Pat and I attended school together!  I had no idea we even had this.  Apparently I didn't keep mine. Ha!  But thought it was so fun to read through!

We had the same Favorite Movie!

Lil different than now! Ha!  Although I do have a few good ones!

I wish I could remember what kind of Space Creature I was!
Best Sense of Humor! YES!!!
Pat and I went and saw Pablo Villegas perform at OCPAC one night (My Birthday presie to him!) and before hand we wandered Noguchi Gardens.  You like Pat Center or Pat Off Center?

My friend Julie and I had our monthly brunch and after a failed geocaching excursion afterwards we swung by the Cat Cafe in DTSA, but couldn't get in.  Julie was sad....

They kitties are right there!!!
I bowled my highest bowling game this month!

That's right!

For my birthday present - Pat got us tickets to Tedeschi Trucks Band.  One of my all time favorites!!  We had a great late afternoon/eve up in LA:

Chilling at the Rooftop Bar at Ace Hotel

I love this picture of us

We could not get a friggin selfie with all us 4.  Shan and Aric joined us!

The Opheum Theatre is spectacular!

And just last week my dear friend Andy popped late notice into town.  He currently resides in Ohio and I miss him terribly so I was so stoked to get to spend the afternoon with him and some more of my dear friends!

The coolest drink!

We're amazing.

So it may be a bit bumpy right now, but there's lots of great stuff too!
