Midsummer Scream 2017...

The past few years I've attended ScareLA with my good friend and horror buddy Taylor.

Last year he attended Midsummer Scream and said it was much better!  It was also closer in Long Beach rather than LA.  So - we got weekend Front of Line tickets and had a great time this past weekend.  Mom joined us on Sunday.

My takeaways:
  • Actually didn't really need "Front of Line".  It didn't seem to matter for anything.
  • Totally better than ScareLA
  • Much more Haunt Previews.  I didn't even get to all of them!
  • As fun as I have at these conventions I can probably just do one day
  • Way more fun photo ops which was rad
  • Always fantastic people watching
  • I totally plan to go next year!

Day 1:

We hit Auld Dubliner for Mimosas before the Convention!

We played a game where you shoot zombies

I love my mother

Chillin in my new bloody kitty ears!

Look at my precious alien baby

My favorite part of this picture...we did this because my brother hates creepy dolls and babies and mom says "Let's do this picture and send it to Shane!!!". Yup.  My mom is f-ed up.  And I love it.

Can't wait for Halloween Season!!!

OC Fair 2017...

Dad tries to get us all together to go to the OC Fair every year.  Some years we've missed, but we go pretty much every year.

We eat, play games, drink, dad buys us jewelry and we check out the art.  This year was a bit different because Lori and Dad both had pieces accepted into the Fair!  So we HAD to go of course to see their stuff and guess what - they both placed!!!!!  I'm seriously considering entering some photography next year now that I have my photo group started and I've got some damn good shots!

We had a great time as always, and thank you Dad and Lori for picking up most of the cost!

They had a cool booth this year so of course - fam photo!!

Which of course was right after our 1st order of business:

There was a kick ass band playing called Red Light Brass Band

Shane & D got some ginormous corndogs:

We then headed over to see Dad and Lori's submissions.  We found Dad's first and he got 3rd place in Mosiacs!!  So damn proud of him!!!!!!!!!!!

So proud of dad!

Told these 2 old timers dad made the 3rd place winner and they became friends
We then hunted around for Lori's two submissions.  Unfortunately her quilt was folded rather than hung which was a bit annoying, but her wool table runner not only won 1st friggin place but she also got Division Winner!!!!

Look at all those ribbons!

Next up was CORN!

We then headed over to Brenda's.  She is an amazing fine jeweler that makes the most amazing jewelry.  Dad always buys the ladies a piece.  Check her out at Brenda's Facebook Page.  She even featured us on there this year!

Love my new necklace!  Thanks Dad!

D got Shane a new wedding band!

Lori's sparkly

D's sparkly
Then we got some delish BBQ which I didn't photograph because we inhaled it.  But I did get Shane to pose while we were waiting.

Angriest Lemon Ever
Then we ran in the Katouli Fam!!!
Cutest family eva!
D and I got ourselves some cold yummies:

We then hit the games and rides!

D wanted to go on the slide.  I was of course down.

The game impossible to win

I didn't win at all this year!

But Shane won me a sloth

A perfectly wonderful fun fam bam day at the fair!!!!
