September Fun...

Trying to find the joy in every day as our country and world seems to be a great big dumpster fire right now.

Obvi the highlight was our amazing trip to Zion which you can see in the blog prior to this one!

And some other big news this month - we got a dog. Yup. His name is Rascal. We went through a bunch of rigamarole signing up with a bunch of Golden Retriever Rescues, only to end up with this guy. He seems super sweet. Has settled right in, and if we can just get him and Luna to get a long all will be well. Pat is thrilled to have a pal again.

That ain't no Golden...

Right at home

Tuckered him out day 1

Falling back in love

The rest of the joy in September:

Hiking:

The McDonald's joined us one Saturday morning for a Crystal Cove hike. Pat got a little turned around and we ended up doing a very hilly 6 miler. Luckily we were in good company!

Found a nice size geocache!

I see you!

Friggin hills....

The cutest little Danger Noodle

Hit up Santiago Oaks!

We almost always hit up OC Wine Mart for Burritos and Mimosas after a hike!

 Fur friends/fam:
Gramma Lori got Luna a hat for Halloween

My little sunbather

Bowling Shenanigans:
Bowled my highest game of the season!

So - Cesar and I high-fived - and one of these chili peppers flung INTO MY EYE! It was so random and painful and of course would only happen to me.

Now that was an odd lay by Jenny! LOL

One evening, Mandy's mom Gina wanted to host a dinner party. She told me that she used to do this for 42 years with her friends every month. It was French themed!

I made French 75 Cocktails

Gina's table setting was on point!

A bit of cheating...these were from Trader Joes, but we'll give them a pass. LOL

Fig with goat cheese and honey

They have a pretty cool game room!

Bistro Salad

A lovely French Red

Mandy and her mom made Beef Bourguignon and Pat made Pommes Anna

Jenny made an apple tart

Tim made his famous cream puffs

Thank you Gina!

They're so cute

The crew!
Had brunch with some of my favorite girls!

We also celebrated Carol's 80th birthday at a lunch Michelle put together!

I friggn loved the bathroom signs...

Lol!!!

It was a Vegan place...

Happy Birthday to this amazing lady!

Loved how they decorated the desserts!

We had another night of Italian Food Potluck. Cesar brought appetizers, Libby made Chicken Cutlets, Pat made homemade Pasta and Jenny brought a Love cake. But totally forgot to take any pictures except this one!

Not quite as many pictures this month. It's been a bit of a tough month, and I seem to be failing on my photog tenancies. But we're rolling into Spooky Season so I'm sure there will be more next month!
