February. My birthday month. The month I turn...gasp...50!!! How is that even possible?! It really is a very odd sensation to be turning 50. For some reason, this is hitting me harder than any other milestone birthdays. All these thoughts may spurn another blog...we'll see.
But for now here are the moments of joy from February!
The start of February brought us some very odd weather..
| Very oddly foggy morning with a moonrise |
| Hi morning moon! |
But one afternoon we got a rainbow!

| Snug as a bug in a rug |
| Someone was happy to get to come downstairs when Rascal was out one morning |
Our co-worker Lindsey is off to OCPAC but not before David threw her quite the goodbye party! I was able to stop by for a little bit!

The morning of my birthday we got a quick morning hike in!
Hit up one of our old trails. It's so pretty right now!

Got a pretty drink at a Happy Hour one night:
| Friday morning before my birthday I had breakfast with dad and they heard it was my birthday and brought me this! So friggin delicious! |
Valentine's Day was lovely and chill. We did our hike, then just lounged around and Pat made us a delicious steak dinner. We also broke out the nicer bottles of wine!
| Pat got me flowers! |
| Breaking out the good stuff |
| Ribeye with a bluecheese compound butter, sweet potato mash and Fennel Salad! |
On President's Day - Pat had it off, and I took it off. We were hoping to do something sans Rascal because he was in doggy daycare, but the rain kind of thwarted us. We did ended up having a yummy breakfast and tried out Axe Throwing which was super fun! I destroyed Pat. LOL! Then we sat out on our porch and drank wine watching the rain. So lovely!
| Pat did get a bullseye! |
| Crazy storm outside! |
| I guess I'm good at axe throwing! |
So my birthday this year fell on a Monday (lame) but I had a really nice weekend before! Had brunch with Carol one morning!
| Mimosa flight |
Then later that day, Stacy, Mom and D had some plans for me. They set up a little video for me to record to post for my 50th which was super fun, then we headed down to San Clemente for what was supposed to be a themed restaurant but ended up just a bar. LOL. After some frustrating snafu's we still had a lovely time and we landed at a sushi restaurant which of course is what I will always want!

| My little throne where I nailed my video in one take! |
| Cool lamps! |

Then that night we went and saw Preservation Hall Jazz Band with Dad and Lori and my mind - as always with these guys - was BLOWN!
Mom put some surprise signs out when she watched Rascal that night. He he!
The actual day of my birthday was lovely. I took off work, Pat and I got in a morning hike. I then went shopping and had lunch with my mom then Pat, Rascal and I got sushi dinner finishing up at Seis Soles!
| Always love to have champs and oysters on my birthday! |

When I came back to work on Tuesday my office was decorated!
Had a wonderful Saturday morning/afternoon with Jen and Maria! We brunched at Culinary Drop out then hit up Seis Soles before wandering the Circle.
