August Photo Dump...

Well summer is just speeding by!
The highlight of August was our trip up to Santa Paula/Ojai which you saw in the blog prior!

There's always food!
Seared Scallops with Parmesan Risotto

Pat made a really good leg of lamb one night!

Spiced Beef wraps with Fennel Rice!

Shrimp Pad Thai

Basil chicken over corn with mashed potatoes

We also hit the OC Fair! Our friends Tim/Jenny entered a bunch of stuff and gave us free tix.  Lori text me and said her and dad were going one Wed afternoon, so we met up with them and then the Rhodes!  It was a lovely day!
Always lots of meat!

The quilt Lori's quilting group worked on

Lori won 2nd place!

She also made a scarf!

This was a really cool project that is made up of all costume jewelry!  She's a friend of Lori's

A gal I used to work with made this!

Lori couldn't eat it fast enough!  Kept melting

All of us!

We all got together and did the Top 10 Metals bands because of course we did \m/

Pat won me a pooch!

Always trying to hit the trails!

Trying to motivate Poe with a stick

Probably hiked a bit to long for Poe.  It got hot!

Bowling on Thursdays!

Love that my best friend is on my team!

Libby is always getting people to do shots

Finally bowled these guys!

Brunches!

Maria and Jen

The 1886 Bruch-Cuterrie Board

Julie and I hit up a damn delicious brunch at Poppy & Seed (They have a Michlen!) This was the Cerviche

Lobster Rolls

Poppy & Seed was a bit pricey, so we grabbed one more glass at Pali Wine!

Our monthly wine pick up was a quickie one this time since it was soooooooooooo hot, so we didn't make it to Europa.  But had a lovely breakfast at South Coast Winery then hit Wiens for our pickup.

Rasberry and Mango Mimosa!

On the last day of the month we did our Supper Club with Terri, Julie and Tianna.  Sadly I got no pictures of us, but I did get the food!  We did Spanish Tapas!

I tried to step up my table setting game

Terri brought some cheese from Spain!

The yummy spread!

Patas Braves from Terri

Pat made Empanadas with a delicious sauce

He also made pork belly bites that sat on a fantastic coleslaw

Julie brought some churros from a Mexi Market and made little fruit tartlets.  Tianna made toasties to go with her stew

Tianna's Spanish Beef Stew

Another month gone just like that.  We're now rolling into September and a brutal heat wave, so hopefully we don't all melt!  Summer certainly ain't over weather wise here in SoCal
