Poe, Fair, Painting, Baby Shower, so many things....

I'm so behind on posting some really great memories!

Life has been a bit tricky lately as Pat & I have had to re-adjust our lives somewhat due to our new addition to our little family.  Friends meet Poe:

1st day!

Luna only likes him when he's sleeping - or splooting in this pic

Early mornings

Needless to say we haven't slept really at all.  Our lives have turned a bit upside down.  We also can't do many things together right now since one of us has to be home with baby.  At least until the little dude is bigger/trained/and vaccinated.  Lord.  But he is adorable and Pat is madly in love.  Seeing the joy on my husbands face makes every bark/bite/etc worth it.  (Sort of.  LOL)  We'll adjust.  I do look forward to getting past the puppy phase and hope he & Luna can be friends at some point.  Fingers crossed.

We already had bought tickets to our annual McCoy Fair trip so my wonderful mother came and puppy sat so Pat and I could run away together for a couple of hours to enjoy our annual event.  And this year Jon was there!  Yay!

 Buffy likes Pinks Hot Dogs!

Dad friggin killed it this year!

We had also already bought tickets to Midsummer Scream - but Pat ended up bowing out to stay home with Poe.  Sadly this day fell apart completely.  Amber took Pat's ticket and my mom was to go.  Mandy and Vince were supposed to join...well mom fell ill so she was out.  Then Vince couldn't go.  Mandy and I got there and did have a wonderful breakfast, but then the line - the organizers of the event screwed up and check in was a nightmare.  Amber eventually gave up and went home - we didn't even get a chance to see her.  Then Mandy and I waited in line for over a damn hour.  It was too crowded.  Too hot.  And honestly was not really enjoyable at all.  Mandy and I did make the best of it - but I'm pretty sure this was my last year for this event.  Unless we VIP it - I'm out.  It was a mess.  But - did get a few photos of times I wasn't ready to cry....

The Cos-Play is always fun to see

Fuck that hot line

One moment of pretty

Mandy was dying to meet Greg Nicotero

We left early and said fuck it let's get drinks

Hot as hell but looked cute!

Next up - I treated D to a Paint and Wine night for her birthday present!  I was terrified to paint the damn thing as I'm always terrible at it (I did NOT get blessed with my families artistic talents) but it was a fun evening and I actually didn't hate my eclectic elephant!

Happy Birthday D!

Here we go....

Lord I got to paint that thing?!

They had a stencil!  Thank GAWD

Ok...why to my tusks look like penises

D is way better at this

She got a birthday sticker

I don't know what I'm doing

Eh not too bad

He has eyes!

Our finished dudes!

Next up - Baby Shower!  Pat's nephew Isaiah and his adorable girlfriend Taylor are expecting Baby Omari!  Adorable little Safari themed shower on one of the hottest days of the year but still very fun!  I of course had to help out and was so proud of my little centerpieces!  Thank you again mom who is officially our puppy sitter!

Adorbs

Never has an egret got this close to us!

I look like hell here.  I was so hot from working so hard, but I do love us

My contribution!

Last on the docket of the event filled past couple of weeks along with a new puppy in the house was Amber's 50th Birthday!  KT shot me a last minute text letting me know the plan and could I join?  Um of course!!!  They rented a private room at The Cauldron Bar and it was a delightful evening of yummy food and drink celebrating one of my favorite humans!!

Happy Birthday Ber!!!

KT is always the coolest

Andrea gave us little party bags

Yay!

It's been a whirlwind of a couple of weeks but hopefully slowing down a bit now and getting this puppy trained!  Looking forward to more adventures!
